The contemporary 888 bar and restaurant bar on the ground floor is a lovely comfortable area for relaxing after a satisfying day, and enjoying a pre-dinner aperitif or two. It also offers an all day selection of sandwiches and light bites.

Enjoy pre-dinner aperitifs, after dinner liqueurs, table served if you prefer. 

The food is good, the ambience and décor contemporary, and fairly classy too! And the cellars are equally impressive, offering an excellent selection of both rare wines and vintages for special occasions, and more everyday wines.

Every year new wines replace old, and everything seems to taste better all the time. We have an eclectic selection of wines from all over the world, including many New World as well as a great selection of classic Clarets and Burgundies – chosen for and arranged by taste rather than country. Our wines are for drinking, and many wines have been chosen to complement the style of food that we serve.

So - enjoy a long leisurely informal dinner with great wines here, professionally chosen – all affordable, you don’t have to have won the lottery to buy them. Complement this with wonderful appetizers and entrées from our superb selection. Follow a memorable wining and dining experience by a glass of port or great Scotch malt whisky. Most people’s definition of slight ‘decadence’!!

Around a dozen house wines are also available by the glass.
